I couldn't agree more! I too went there by boat and anchored on the bay side and decided to wander over to the ocean side - my sentiments were exactly as you say! I had NO idea how beautiful the beach was! I immediately went in the water and jumped the waves. So sandy and secluded. more

My husband and I actually discovered Napatree Point by accident on a boat outing one day. We launched our boat from Stonington, CT. and eventually, though the water is shallow in some places, landed at Napatree Point. I explored the shoreline for hours. Seashells of every shape and size! The only people there were boaters so it felt very secluded.... more
