This is at the end of Hilton Head, on the shore of the inlet. It has a fake lighthouse that is nonetheless sort of quaint. There are a number of tourist shops that sell trinkets, T-shirts, etc. There's a Christmas store. It's setup like a small village, sort of. There's a couple of restaurants. We ate at the Crazy Crabs,... more

Plenty of shops, a few bars & resaraunts. Some musical entertainment. And everything is family friendly. There is a park for the kids to play in, many bicycle parking spots too. A walk up the lighthouse stairs might leave you a bit breathless and warm, but I recommend everyone try it once. My children loved this Sea Pines/Harbour Town area -- the playground with the unique treehouse, sitting in the rocking chairs eating an ice cream cone, and then watching Gregg Russell's free, kid-interactive concert. Those evenings were the highlight of... more

Like so many things and places on Hilton Head Island, this is just another expensive tourist area. They nail you for a buck everytime you use the cross-island expressway, then Sea Pines Plantation charges you five bucks for a one-day pass, just for riding on their roads. Finally, you end up at Harbour Town, with its limited parking and high... more
