The TSM is located in downtown Nashville underneath the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The admission is free. The exhibits are thorough. The layout of the museum allows you to meander at will as opposed to being herded like cattle. They even have a mummy on display!!! In addition to the TSM, you have the opportunity to tour the nearby state... more

This museum has a nice Civil War area. We found it very informative and it was Free!!! There was construction going on during our visit last week but overall a great experience!! more

This is great for a free museum, especially if you have any interest in regional history. The museum is much larger than we expected, consisting of three floors. We easily occupied a good portion of our day here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and are quite excited to talk to you about any of the exhibits. The museum... more
