Whenever I am in San Francisco I always walk along the bay from from Fishermans Wharf to the Palace of fine arts. My husband and I confused this site with another site that had an art collection to view. We love art, so we set out to tour "the palace" with all of it's art. Silly us. This was our first stop on the motorized cable car tour. The tour operator stopped and gave us 15 minutes to explore and take pictures. I was certainly glad this stop was included on the tour. The Palace of Fine Arts is such a pretty peaceful place and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it!! more
Beautiful architecture, a lovely pond with waterbirds and terrapins. The perfect place for a picnic. Must take a camera! more
No amount of description can properly capture the magic of this place.
