Be sure to take a walk thru the North End while visiting Boston (off the Freedom Trail by Paul Revere's house)... you'll hear lots of Italian along with some great Italian-American-Bostonian accents! We visited on a Saturday & were happy to find a festival (Fisherman's Feast) in progress. Great cannoli, pasta, pizza, etc.-- not to mention fun people-watching! more

In response to the comments about the North End being dirty, I'd have to back up the poster who explained about the trash pickup.
