This tour is highly recommended. Easy to get to from the T (just a 5 min walk from Stony Brook stop on the Orange line) with ample signage to assist you. They have just rebuilt their waiting area and tasting room and everything looks great. About a 20-30 min tour, allowing you to see, smell and taste (yes, taste) the... more

My wife and I were there in Mid August and it was one of the highlights of our month long trip around the U.S. The guide was super friendly and answered all the questions every one had in an interesting and professional way (The guy gets paid top drink and talk about beer! You can see that he loves his... more

This is by far the best brewery tour I've ever been on. Maybe it's because Sam Adams makes some of the best beers around? Anyway, well worth your time if you're visiting Boston. Easy access from the T. We arrived at 10:45, and another tour was leaving at 11. While waiting for the tour, we got to try two beers... more

I went on August 11, 2007 and I had just turned 21 and was going to Boston with my boyfriend and I figured this was a great way to celebrate since we both love Sam Adams Boston Lager! The tour was about an hour long and gave history of the company's beer through a guide and video. They covered the... more

Visited the Brewery in June with my wife. It's easy to get to from the subway (a five minute stroll from Stony Brook on the Orange line). Visit lasts about 20 minutes and covers the company history & philosophy and also the brewers ingredients. Then the fun stuff - the tasting. (Remember to take id). We got to sample three... more

The Brewery tour, which leaves every few minutes, is well worth the T ride. They ask that you donate $2, which they donate to Boston based charities, and it is well worth it, but if you are truley a cheapskate you could do the tour for free. The guides are some of the most entertaining I've seen and actually informative.... more

We enjoyed the tour immensely. We learned a lot about beer and got to drink some excellent Sam Adams Octoberfest. I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids, but for two adults, this was a great time. We took the T there and back to the hotel which made it really easy. more

I toured the Sam Adams brewery in December of 2005. What a great experience. The brewery is just a short walk from the T. We followed signs and entered a large room with interesting memorabilia in display cases, banners hanging from the ceiling, etc. We waited there and our tour guide came out just a few minutes before our tour... more

If you really want to know how beer is made you'll like this tour. It is about 1 hour long and you get 21 oz of beer for a $2 voluntary donation. more
