This place is remarkable. We took the highlights one hour tour. You really need more than a couple hours to enjoy the exhibits. Be sure to visit the rooftop exhibit, the green balloon dog and the red foil heart are worth seeing as well as the view of the city. more

I have never been so enthralled, amazed, and elated by a museum in my entire life, and I only got a chance to make it through three exhibits. My husband was a Classics major, while I was a Classics minor, and the wing dedicated to Greek and Roman art completely blew us away! The collection is all encompassing focusing on... more

You could spends days in here and still not see everything or give it the attention it deserves. But if you only have a few hours it is still worth the visit. more

We only had 4 hours at this museum, so I can't review the entire thing, because I didn't see even half of it. But if you or your children have an interest in Egyptian history or in mummies, you MUST visit this museum! They have part of a reconstructed tomb, ROWS of mummy cases, and an entire Egytian temple! (Which... more

A great place, enormous, with a varied collection of great works. It's a beautiful building, too, although without the novelty of the Guggenhiem or MoMA. One minus point: The price. I know I'm spoiled her in London with all our free museums, but $20 is a lot, especially as there's no way you can do the whole thing in one... more

The Rooftop Garden Cafe is open part of the year so during season it's worth the visit. What a great view of Central Park. Then pick any of the galleries because the Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the best in the world. But you won't be able to see the entire museum in one day. more

I personally hate art, and history so I am really giving this review from MY point of view, if you like art by all means go ahead. It just too much boredom in one place, if something were to be more boring it would be shut down. Unbelievable how this could be an attraction in New York city. Inside you... more

I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with one of my friend four months ago. This museum is magnificent, interesting, and enormous. Since the museum is so enormous you can get lost (make sure if your children are coming along have them close by you). This museum is so remarkable beacause there are differnt types of art work from... more

The Met is wonderful, but I must admit it can be overwhelming. There is so much to see and you are torn on which way to go and where to start. However you can spend hours on end just walking around and admiring all of the art that the museum has to offer. I especially like the Van Gogh and... more
