I've moved to Seattle, after traveling here part-time over the past year. I've fallen in love with the city, but had not visited ANY of it's museums until today. I figured I'll be hosting friends and relatives who come to visit over the coming years, and I should see which museums are worth a visit. Over the course of a... more

The Museum of Flight is located just 10 minutes south of downtown Seattle, and just off of the main highway. Parking is free, and an adult ticket will only set you back $14.00... not bad, considering that my husband and I were there for the whole seven hours and still weren't able to see it all. The museum is very... more

Visited the museum last year during my trip to Seattle and Vancouver. I spent only a bit over 2 hrs here and deeply regret not allocating at least half a day. What an experience! The museum is one of the best I have visited and captures the evolution of flight through the last 100+ years. They have on display a... more

WOW--what a place! Start with one of the free docent led tours and then check out EVERYTHING! There are amazing things to see here. After you've seen everything inside, cross the street to the airpark and board a Kennedy-era Air Force One and a Concorde. The cafe is very reasonable for lunch, too. We spent 5 hours there and could... more

This is easily the best museum I've ever been to. There is just so much to do. You could easily spend an entire day here. There are some very siginificant aircraft in the outdoor section of the museum. (Which is alone worth the entire admission price.) Those aircraft include the last Concorde to make a commercial flight, and an old... more

You could spend hours here if you are interested in reading all the info in the exhibits. There are so many planes. I've been the the Smithsonian Aerospace Museum and this place is just as good. Serious! If you just want to breeze by everything it will take about and hour or two. Otherwise you can take hours if you... more

My hubby really wanted to check this out. I thought, okay, I got to go to the Market and he didn't really want to, it's the least I can do. Wow, was I surprised! This place was great. We got to climb onto real airplanes (a former Air Force One and a Concorde), into cockpits of fighters, and we could've... more

The Seattle Museum of Flight is an amazing place to invest an entire day---then plan to come back. The history of aviation, the tales of the pioneers of aviation--- designers, engineers, builders and flyers of these amazing aircraft ---it's all here. And so much more! Most of the docents lived the history. On my numerous visits to this museum, I've... more
