As someone who loves history and teaches it in high school, and someone who is patriotic, This was the #1 thing to do on my list. It was a moving experience. We got there at 9:00 AM by the bus from Waikiki. We got in line for our tickets, and our time was for 11:45. We chose not to use... more

The USS Arizona Memorial is a very moving experience, not to be missed. The attached museum is informative and has a lot of personal stories about people affected by the bombings. Admission is free, but they have an audio tour for $5. I didn't feel as though the audio tour added too much to the exhibits that were already there;... more

I took my whole family to the memorial last weekend and all found it very fascinating including my 12 year old daughter who, "Hates history stuff." The museum has many interesting artifacts. My favorites were the propeller from the Japanese plane and the torpedeo that they found. Over all, extremely well done but a tad stuffy inside. The movie the... more

Everyone visiting Honolulu should spend a morning visiting the memorial. Like others have said, it is a sad and somber visit. more

Book the "Stars and Stripes" tour with Roberts. It was with Roberts when we booked it in our airline package and it's the only tour that takes you to Pearl Harbor, the Arizona Memorial, The USS Missouri and Punchbowl Crater National Veteran's Cemetery. The Memorial is a very special place and you must see it yourself to understand. If you... more

We visited the memorial while in Hawaii and it was one of the best things we did on holiday. A really moving experience. You have to see this to appreciate what went on when Pearl Harbour was attacked. We had great advise, you dont need to be on a tour to see the memorial. Its free to get into and... more

When we got there around 9am it was already crowded... line was so long. We didn't wait that long so... more

When we went...it was the day before the anniversary..It was really sad to see so many soldiers paying their respects and it helped us truly feel the magnitude of the situation. It is a beautiful memorial and an absolute must see!! Makes you proud of those who have served and are currently! more

I own an educational inbound tour operation based in Brisbane, Australia and decided to see what our opposition was doing in Hawaii, and so went on the HOB USS Arizona/Pearl Harbor tour. Although a little more expensive than other operators, it was well worth it and this is just a sample of why I thought so: 1. The guide I... more

The Arizona Memorial tour is often crowded and can involve a two to three hour wait in the hot sun. Get there as early as possible. It opens at 0730 but lines start forming about 0630. It is free. The tour is solemn and serious, since it is literally a trip to a graveyard. If you are looking for an... more
