Very somber reminder of what happened on December 7th 1941… but well worth the visit. We got there a little later than we had hoped (9 AM) and we had no problems getting in. We visited all of the “sights” and were of course most affected by the USS Arizona Memorial. If you haven’t visited Oahu before, this day trip... more

We did it all here! The Arizona Memorial, The Battleship Missouri, The Pacific Aviation Museum and the Bowfin Submarine. LOVED every minute. What a great place for a great history lesson! Even if you don't like history, it's really cool to see how the people had to live on the ships and the subs. How very impressive! The oil still... more

This is just one of those things you have to do while you're in Oahu. It's an interesting look into history. Several tour companies offer tours, but I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that when admission is free and you can just go on your own. Make sure you arrive early. There is some waiting required, but... more

Do not miss! Go early (real, real early), buy tickets to see *everything*, and enjoy your day. It's both sobering and wonderful and, in so many ways, you'll be transported back in time. more

First off, it's a no brainer ... you have to go. It's well run, vivid history, and an incredibly moving site if you love history or not. BUT -- high maintenance. First, you HAVE to get there early, or you won't get in. You wait on line to get a ticket (free) -- and then they tell you what time... more

We took this tour through Enoa Tours and it was well worth it. The drive from the Waikiki area is quite short for what you get out of this trip. It is really amazing to walk on board the memorial and see the Arizona just feet below you w/ several sections still peaking out of the water. The leaking fuel... more

Pearl Harbor is a must see on a trip to Hawaii while staying in Oahu. Go early...it opens at 730....the line moves quickly so don't be scared off. the longer you wait in the day to go...the hotter and longer the waits get. You can't bring purses or bags of ANY kind in with you, so leave them locked up... more

I was blown away by our stops at Pearl Harbor. I thought I knew what to expect but it was very moving and interesting. The Arizona Memorial was very nice! We toured the Bowfin and the USS Missouri which were both very interesting and well kept up. I highly recommend you don't miss out on these attractions but be there... more

I was not bothered about visiting pearl harbor to start with as I am british and was more interested in our history of the war. I am glad I did as it has now given me a new perspective on the Americans part in World war 2.( I always had a slightly jaded perspective before that they didn't join in... more
