We had been looking forward to Australia Zoo after watching Steve Irwin on TV for many years. It certainly lived up to expectations with well maintained facilities and an extremely professional and amusing show in the Crocoseum. Met many animals as we walked around the zoo as the keepers take the animals out of the enclosures. Elephants came out for... more

We took the train from Roma St. station direct to Beerwah($8.40 per person/each way) where the zoo's free bus met the train and took us on the few miles to the park. At least the bus was free...as others reviews have noted it's $52 per adult to get in. Ouch! That's why I give it only and "above average" rating.... more

Every aspect of this top-notch zoo is first rate. The grounds are beautiful and sparkling clean. All of the staff members are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. It is a big place, with several sections - they were working on the African area when we were last there. The animals are the stars of the park! Every kind imaginable live... more

Australia zoo is not the biggest zoo i have visited but it is probably the best. I went there by taking the train from Brisbane central ($16.40 return) to Beerwah station - takes about 1 hour 20 minutes - then there is a free australia zoo shuttle that takes you to the zoo about 5 minutes drive away from the... more

Myself and my wife took our grandson to Australia zoo and I can only describe our visit as outstanding. At the outset I thought the admission prices were relatively high but after a very short time in the zoo it becomes apparent just what good value it is. The Crocoseum show is unbelievable and I would be happy to pay... more

This zoo has many shows arranged. Steve Irvin is a hero in all respects! His wife and kids are following thier footsteps! It was a wonderful visit. All animals are well kept. The elephants feeding, birds feeding, the koalas, the kangaroo feeding, the tiger, the snakes, the crocodile show, each thing was really fun! more

We visited Australia Zoo on 10 July 2007 with our children aged 2 and 6, this was our second visit - our first was in 2005. We traveled an hour from Sunshine Beach and arrived around 10am. This was just about the right time to make it for the 11am Crocoseum show. We paid about $130 for our family, the... more

What more could one want! This place is one incredible experience for people of all ages! From the cocs to the elephants to the tigers.........this place has it all and more! The day we visited the temperature was in the low 40's (celsius that is!) but with the ample water spray units strategically located around the park the heat wasn't... more

Well, what can we say that hasn’t been said before! We were originally introduced to Steve’s TV’s shows by our son, and when we planned our trip to Brisbane, this became the number 1 location on the itinerary to visit. Steve’s unfortunate death only made us more determined to go and we were not disappointed. The zoo is huge, so... more

Words simply can't put into place what a fantastic place this is. We went on Oct 2nd 2006 and planned our trip before Steve's passing. We originally planned to go there with the hope of seeing Steve do the crocodile show and we thought maybe we should cancel as we've been to many zoo's before. I am so glad we... more
