This museum has a world-renowned Arts & Crafts Movement collection.
Visit the former country home of the pioneering scientist, Dr Edward Jenner (1749-1823). The museum is the site in 1796 where Jenner invented a vaccination against the killer disease, Smallpox. Find out when the last case of Smallpox was in the world and how the World Health Organization helped to conquer the disease just 30 years ago. Throughout 2009/2010 we will be marking this anniversary. We also offer a Joint Ticket with our neighbour, Berkeley Castle just two minutes walk away. Between the museum and castle is also the 13th Century church where Jenner is buried.Wheel chair ramps now accessing whole of ground floor.
This family-friendly museum, located in a scenic park, chronicles local history and family life on the Cotswolds Hills plus exciting displays including dinosaurs, Roman altars and landscape paintings.
