1. Parc National des Ecrins (Les Ecrins National Parc, French Alps, France)
| With mountains more 4000 meters high, their glaciers and everlasting snow, the Ecrins Mountains are a real wonder in the Southern Alps. Wherever you are, the view is stunning. |
2. Gorges du Verdon (Verdon River Gorges, Provence, France)
| One of the most amazing views in Provence, the gorges spread between the charming cities of Moustiers Ste Marie and Castellane, and the heigh at the top of the cliffs can reach 700m, which means that the river at the bottom of the gorge looks like a small blue/green ribbon. Many people enjoy rockclimbing on these wonderful cliffs, hiking, or just touring on both banks. A stop for lunch, dinner, or even the night in the authentic village of La Palud is a must. If you get up early, some days in the fall, drive up to the cliffs and admire the white mist going up from the deeper part of the gorges, surrounded by the grey and orange cliffs and the red foliage. Just wonderful. |

3. Baie de Calvi, Corsica (Calvi Bay, Corsica, France)
| Take a boat one morning for an excursion and look behind you as you leave the city: an amazing range of shades will be displayed behind the Citadel, and this view will be printed forever in your memory. |

4. The Calanques (Marseille, Provence, France)
| The Calanques are the gem of Marseille. Amazingly, they are part of the city (which is the second larger city in France). High white limestone cliffs which contrast with the blue sea and sky, the white seagulls and the surviving pinetrees (many important forest fires took place in the Calanques, and the forest is now very rare and fragile), the Calanques are a wonder for the eyes, as well as a paradise for hikers or rockclimbers. As they are so close to the city, many people come and visit them, and many efforts are being done by the local authorities to protect the area. At sunset, the white rocks become bright pink or red, leaving you without a word, just admiring. |

5. Yosemite National Park, USA
What I like most in the landsapes in Yosemite is that each mountain has a different shape: for example, El Capitan is a majestic steep rectangular cliff nearly 1000 meters high, while the Half Dome looks like its name tells, a round shape, then there are the waterfalls, white on the grey rocks, the green forest, the blue sky... Walk on a short trail and you'll have the most stunning view of the park from Sentinel Dome. |

6. Joshua Tree National park, USA
| A Natural wonder of sandstone rocks and… Joshua trees! Enjoy a scenic drive across the park, hike or climb the rocks, it is just wonderful. Stay during sunset while it's full moon, and you'll see the rocks progressively change colors, while the sun goes down and the moon rises between the funny shapes of the joshua trees. |

If you love mineral landscapes, then you'll fall in love with the variety of colors, the variety of landscapes in this desert. I couldn't imagine I could find so many different landscapes in one desertic area: Zabrisky point, the Artist's Pallette, Mars hill, Stovepipe Wells sand dunes, the Devil's Golf course, etc. This valley, which is below the sea level and one of the hottests places in the US in the summer, is a pure natural wonder, mostly in the spring when the surrounding peaks are still covered with snow, flowers are blooming, and the temperature allows to get out of the car and listen to ...the silence. |

| These wonderful and magnificient falls are located at the borders of Brasil, Argentina and Paraguay. What make them so unique is that there's water falling from everywhere around you in a deafening atmosphere! I toured them starting from the Brazilian side, and then went to the Argentinian side, so I could follow the sun which was always lighting the other bank of the river. This is honestly one of the the most wonderful places I've ever been to. |

9. Rio de Janeiro bay from the Corcovado, Brazil
| First you have to take the funny Corcovado train up the hill, across the Tijuca forest. Then, you'll be overhelmed by the beauty of the Bay of Guanabara, the city of Rio, its beaches, and its numerous hills. |

10. Atlas Mountains, Morocco
| If you're doing a treck or just driving across the Atlas on a tiny mountain road, you will discover nice secluded villages, built on the slopes of the mountains, nearly the same colors as the ground, and green oasis with palmtrees and gardens in the valleys. In the spring, the summits are still covered with snow, which make the landscape even more majestic. |
