We stayed at the Austing Haus and had a great time. It was so quiet and peaceful and the staff was very accomodating. The rooms were nicely decorated and the fireplace was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was a nice spread, more than we expected. The location was great, near the slopes, surrounded by forest and a stream across... more

We had a great Christmas Vacation! The staff was friendly and pleasant, and the breakfast was to die for. I've never slept in as comfortable a bed. The Inn manager Mr. Austing, is one of a kind, and was extremely helpful with the fireplace. Its hard to imagine how this trip could have gone better. more

My husband and I wanted a relaxing and quiet get away for our 6th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Austing Haus in the Taos Ski Valley. Ther were four different types of rooms to choose from and we picked the king fireplace room. The king size -four poster bed was very comfortable and the wood burning fireplace made the... more

My wife and I went there for the weekend because my parents were in town and were able to watch the kids. I called and was pleased to find out that there was a room left for the weekend on such short notice.....Now I know why We got there late in the evening and the clerk was still there. When... more

My son and I traveled to Taos on an impromtu ski trip and booked a room at the Austing Haus at the last minute. I was pleased to find they still had a room available for both nights and the price seemed right, given the season. It was really close to the ski lifts, too, which was a big plus... more

Where to start....how about the two positives, it is very close to the ski slopes and the hot tub water was certainly hot! My husband and I booked this B & B (more like a motel that needed a serious renovation) over the Xmas & New Year's holiday on a last minute trip online through a travel agent. Because it... more

We stayed at the Austing Haus due to the great late-season ski deals offered by Southern Rockies reservations. It was a big bonus that we could bring our dog along. Our room was decent. Two full beds, 2 dressers, fridge, microwave. The layout was a little clumsy, and the room kinda dark and dingy. But I suspect they save these... more

We stayed here over the October 6-8, 2006 weekend, wishing to see the fall leaves around Taos. The leaves were at or past peak. The Inn, located up the mountain just about a mile from the ski slopes and 18 miles from Taos, is designed to resemble a German Chalet. It was a beautiful drive along the winding road with... more

We stayed at the Austing Haus a few years back when we drove into town on July 4th without hotel reservations. Put that as #1 on your list of things to not do. Finally after some very nice people at another hotel called several places, they said the Austing Haus had a room. It's a little out of the way... more
