This has to be the most sparklingly clean and well equipped B&B we have ever stayed in. Efficient shower with loads of hot water, fresh milk in our personal fridge in the room for tea in the morning - so much better than the dreaded UHT. My son (18) and I stayed at Pottery House and - having stayed at some dozen B&B's in Scotland - it has to rank among the best. OK, it's not in an ancient building on a harbour front - but that's not going to happen in Dores. What is does have is terrific hosts who understand hospitality and excellent facilities... more

My husband and I stayed at Pottery House for only one night on our travels through the UK. The house is lovely and John and Glen were wonderful. The breakfast was the best we had our entire trip. If we had had more time we certainly would have stayed much longer. more

We stayed for two nights and it was perfect. The rooms (and baths) were spacious, clean and comfortable. You have free internet and can walk a few steps to Loch Ness or to the Dores Inn for dinner (which is fantastic). But the best thing about the Pottery House are the hosts, John and Glen. Having visited the Scottish Highlands for the first time and hopefully not the last, the welcome we got from John and Glen was second to none. The property was set in an amazing area of Loch Ness close to a small village with a pub that served food and drink. The room was spacious and comfortable with towels, shampoo and soap provided.
