We were a little nervous about staying at this hotel as the reviews we had read prior to our holiday weren't exactly complimentary. We arrived at the hotel and right from the start were made to feel welcome. A Kenyan tribe welcomed us to the hotel with a tribal dance and while we were filling out forms we were given... more

On arrival we were greeted by masai style dancers and given a delicious fruit cocktail in the delightful and typically African reception. Our room was large basic and clean. The staff with the exception of the pool bar bar persons were wonderful they always had a smile and nothing was to much trouble. The food was complained about by a... more

We went for a week (8 days in total, including flights) and it was brilliant! Definatley chose the right place after alot of debating. The minute we got... more

I'd stayed at the Bamburi 13 years previously and wanted to share the happy experience with my partner, and we weren't disappointed. Inside the hotel was the same but the decking overlooking beach was 'new', as was the Karibu bar and pool. The staff are so friendly, helpful and cheerful & when back home it seemed strange not saying 'Jambo'... more

This hotel is okay but I dont think I would visit it again. We have been to plenty of all inclusive hotels(cuba, mexico, jamaica etc) but this one was the least pleasing as regards to costs and the accomodation.Dont get me wrong,we are not fussy people but the bedding left a lot to be desired. The sheets and pillows were a nice shade... more

Bamburi Beach is a lovely place to stay with very helpful and friendly staff. The only problem was the amount of prostitutes operating in the hotel. The constant propositioning of guests was both disgusting and unbearable. We made this known to our Thomson rep and he said that this hotel was known for it and he would speak to the... more

Bamburi Beach Hotel. Now what can I say. The hotel itself is situated nearly at the centre of the long beach. there is a problem with some tourists with the beach people trying to sell their wares as you leave the hotel to go onto the beach. Just be polite its better to say no than later. The hotel is... more
