I stayed at the Ferryboat Inn in June, and was very happy with all the details: My room was so spacious I could have given a party there!, the bed was cozy, everything incredibly clean, good air conditioning. The owner, Marjorie, was a sweetheart, and the location, in general, cannot be beat. My only problem had nothing to do with... more

We stopped at the Ferryboat Inn for dinner upon our arrival on Anguilla via the ferry from St. Martin. We received a warm welcome from the owner, Marjorie. Before dinner, we used the nice beach that borders the property. At dinner, the food was good, plentiful, and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed that the restaurant appeared to attract many locals.... more

This is the fifth family-run self-catering lodging I’ve stayed in in the Caribbean over the past 3 years. I’d been very pleased with the previous four, and compared with them, when I first saw my small one-bedroom at the inn, I thought I’d made a terrible mistake: laminate peeling off all cabinetry, cabinet doors that wouldn’t close, beat-up small appliances... more

We spent over a week in one of the apartments and found the place to be a comfortable base from which to explore and enjoy Anguilla. There is nothing elaborate or fancy about the setup but the accommodation was spacious, clean (although a touch "weathered") and provided all the basics we needed for our stay at a reasonable price. Daily... more

Simple, blissful, relaxation, lapping blue water, cool breeze, fresh lobster, coke & rum...all served up with unhurried charm, by proprietress, Margorie , son Christian, and their small but efficient staff. Our cottage was, literally, perched just steps above the beach, where we started and ended each day, enjoying the view, and thankful that we had found this little gem. It... more

We have just returned to the UK after a magical stay on Anguilla at the Ferryboat Inn. Partly, I want to keep the secret of this hotel to myself, because the joy of its simplicity lies in the lack of crowds, its unfussiness, and its small and happy team. it is family-run, and Marjorie and her son Christian do everything... more

My husband and I have been to Anguilla 6 times. It was my 40th on Jan. 20th and there was no place I'd (we ) would rather be. We have been on both ends of the island, in villas with friends, and last yr at Rendezvous Bay . This was a one of the best times on island. Marjorie didn't... more

This place is not for everyone, and for what it costs to get to Anguilla you should really make sure this is how you wish to spend your hard earned vacation. The proprietor is kind, and the food is good, but it's a long way from an exclusive resort, or an upscale private place like Turtlenest (Cayman). The Cuisinart and... more

Picturesque view, nearly private beach and a great restaurant. Booked the Beach House. It's a huge two bedroom place just steps from the beach...for under $200 a night. Thanks Marjorie! more

The Ferryboat Inn is the Caribbean as it once was. It is an owner-operated and managed Inn with a special atmosphere. Owner Marjorie McClean, her son Christian, and other family members run the place, and they offer a great deal. My friend and I had the run of an entire one-bedroom (with two beds), two-bath apartment, including sizable kitchen, living... more
