Arenas blancas was an okay hotel , the beach was awesome and so were all the staff. The good: The beach- lovely clear water and you could rent pedal boats and sail boats the pool-a little chilly but we could always find a beach chair the games center- they always gave us tennis rackets to play on the course the... more

July 2008 Arrival and Flight My husband and I, booked our first time trip to Cuba thru itravel 2000. Good deal so far. Travelling with 4 years old twins and two seniors. We left Toronto on July 9/08 at 9:25 am, & left Varadero on July 16/08 at 1:45 pm via Camaguey to pick up more passengers and left at... more

I'm gonna try to make it simple,The hotel lobby and reception area looks tipically like a 2 star hotel, the public washroom (rest room) is thirty and very smelly (both men's and lady's), The room, first when you enter the room, you will say "what's this smell " actually we(my wife and I) realize that smell comes from the ceiling of... more

I admit we did get a good deal of $994 Canadian but the next week after it was about 1200 to 1300 and I would definitely be dissappointed if I had paid more than what i did for this hotel. The hotel is older and we knew that but the biggest problem was the service. My goodness the service was... more

What a dissapointment!!! My husband and my 2 yr old spent 7 days at this hotel, from May 24th to May 30th. Even though the hotel is old there is no excuse to be dirty. The pool area is OK, the lobby is outdated, there were leaks on the roof , the reception area looks like a 2 star hotel,... more

I don't even know where to start. This is a bad review because it's a bad hotel... Period. I see a lot of people say that food is not important. Well, It is if you spend 4 days out of your 7 in bed vomiting... And you even get to take it home with you for an extra week or... more

I stayed at Arenas Blancas for 2 weeks at the end of Feb/ beginning of Mar 2008. I have to say that the property is kept immaculately clean by the staff, but the rooms are in need of a coat or two of paint (although paint is horrendously hard to get your hands on in Cuba, so it won't be... more

My husband and I stayed here for four days. It was great! I booked online instead of doing the package deal so it took reception a little bit longer to find our reservation, but there were no problems and they were courteous. The rooms are great, very large and they have nice big beds (sometimes you get two small single... more

My Husband, Myself, our 12 year old and 6 year old stayed at Arenas Blancas for the 2nd time, from May 28 to June 4 2008. We thought the first time (2 years ago) was great, but this time we were treated even better as returning guests. As with any Cuban resort the food was not the best,, just got... more

We travelled to the Arenas Blancas Dec 1-8/08, 2 adults, 1 teen (14) and 1 child (10). The beach was fantastic, I can't say enough about how awesome it was, we spent most of every day at the beach & in the ocean. The pool was huge (if a little on the chilly side)but we only used it once or... more
