The Trupial is far from downtown Willemstad, situated in a bland suburban neighborhood. My biggest complaint was that you were dependent on staff van runs or taxis to get downtown. I've read some of the reviews of Trupial Inn. I stayed there last minth and I had a wonderful time. Don't expect a first class hotel, because it ain't. The service is excellent and the food is good. My husband and I stayed here as we went for shopping/relaxtion. The staff at the Hotel were the best. Especially the front desk staff, they helped us with everything, even calling us at the room when the bus was ready to leave. Trupial Inn, Curacao. The Casino is in the middle of the Complex. It closes at 4am. The people leaving are very noisy and they will wake you up. I took my daughter on a trip last August and we stayed at the Trupial Inn hotel. It was probably the worst vacation we had ever had. I can't believe I had such a terrible vacation. Every thing was bad including the rooms, food & casino. FYI - THIS IS NOT A HOTEL BUT MORE OF A MOTEL. You can drive your car up to the room. There were a lot of local people around and we have seen many hookers using the hotel for there services.... more

If you are looking for a nice place to spend your holidays in Curacao, you definitely have to book Trupial Inn. It is a lovely and cheap hotel and gives you an excellent service.
