We stayed with a party of 16 at this resort for 3 weeks over xmas and we were married on the 26/12/07, the hotel staff who were involved with my wedding gave 101% service for our entire stay. The rooms. We were upgraded to a suit at no extra charge and the whole party were in rooms close to ours,... more

Riu Mambo was great! We stayed there from 06/12/2008 to 06/17/2008. Great pools, excellent service, the staff is very, very helpful. They always called us back to make sure that our requests were fullfilled. We liked the food. Although a la carte restaurants did not impress us, so we prefered to go to the buffet. We did not like the... more

A quick review but feel free to ask me questions. Rooms - not so great but you are only there to sleep. Maids did a wonderful job. Beds are uncomfortable as mentioned but after the bar you don't notice! Food- I though the buffets was better than the ala cartes. I liked breakfast the best but hubby liked dinner the... more

After spending a year alone with my husband in Iraq, all I wanted to do was sit by the pool or crystal clear, blue water on a lounge chair and veg out. This trip was nothing like that. The price of the trip was amazing. That was the deciding factor for us, $1400 for 7 nights including plane tickets. Check... more

The staff was friendly. Only negatives were that the bed was not that comfortable and our request for a closer building wasnt given... more

I don't understand how people can complain about this complex. The Brits must be far more tolerant. As we are not used to air conditioning at home, the air conditioning at the Mambo was more than adequate. We ate three very large meals a day and did not feel the need or have the room to snack between meals! I... more

Can absolutely recommend this hotel as it's great value for money. Beautiful location, very clean, lovely beach, not 5* but perfectly adequate. A Caribbean holiday for less than £400 including flights from Scotland, can't be bad! Here's some points I hope you will find useful: Hotel is about 25 km from the airport, $45 in a taxi and about 35... more
