We just came back from PPV (17-24 march 2007). The standard rooms are more then basic, our room was at 3th level, very small, no refrigerator, an old A/C and very noisy. We were there between Feb. 24-Mar. 6, 2007. Although this is probably the cheapest of all Playa Dorada hotels, we were satisfied. I just read some reviews from July 2006 which made me wonder what has happened to PPV. My husband & I stayed there in 2005 and liked it so much we returned in 2006. We went with friends and family for a week over New Year's. Having been to the area 5 years ago (stayed at Jack Tar last time), we knew we could have a nice vacation for great value. Also, since the airport is only 20 minutes away, you don't waste time travelling in a bus all day like you would elsewhere.... more

Just got back from this place. Spend your money elsewhere. We stayed 1 night and moved out the next, it's awful, falling to bits and shabby. Be warned !!!!!!
