We recently stayed at Casa Cubuy and while we were expecting it to be basic and rustic (which it is) we didn't really think the price tag matched the accomodation $110 per room. As two couples we were given two double rooms that overlooked the glorious view, but which although were clean were very damp (again prob to be expected... more

I found out about Casa Cubuy through the internet; for local puertorricans its sort of a secret..., (in a way its a blessing) its definitely off the beaten path, but easily accesible, on the end of Rte. 191 south, which used to cross the El Yunque National Forest from north to south but was closed after a landslide about 30... more

I've stayed at Casa Cubuy a few times and loved it every single time. It's set right in the rainforest with beautiful trails snaking down into the forest out the back door. Delicious breakfasts are served every morning. You get the opportunity to sit around the large, rectangular breakfast table in the mornings and chat with other guests before heading... more

Casa Cubuy is a charming place to stay while visiting the El Yunque rain forest. I stayed in room #4 on the top floor. It had a great balcony with sliding doors that opened up to the forest. It was such a pleasure to go to sleep at night with the sounds of the Coquis, (tiny frogs, that make the... more

A friend and I were looking to hike in El Yunque for a few days and this proved to be the perfect spot to sleep. It is a beautiful location with hiking trails at the doorstep. There is a swimming hole that is a short hike away. Don't plan to do anything but rest or hike as there is nothing... more

We stayed here for three nights and had a great time. The staff was nice and helpful. The food was really deliciouso, breakfest was very fresh and healthy. You can get lunches to go, which are yummy. The hiking around the area was very nice. The views are just great to let your mind relax. There is a little bar... more

Stayed two nights at Casa Cubuy in an upper and a lower room. Overall the experience was fine but I probably wouldn't stay again. Mainly because of the location. It is a great place to stay if all you want to do is hike in the forest. You can do that from the hotel. If you are planning on doing... more

The hostel like atmosphere at Casa Cubuy is a lot of fun. Eating delicious, homecooked meals with fellow travellers is the best part about this place. The rooms themselves are a little old with a few bugs here and there but the views from the balconies make up for it. The hikes are fairly easy but afford great views and... more

We spent 2 lovely nites in the new building that they have added. We shared our dinners and breakfasts with everyone else staying there at the main building. The food was good, the views were breathtaking. The trails are not for the "faint of foot", it is in the rain forest and the trails are slick and slippery, but well... more

We headed to Casa Cubuy on our honeymoon to find some R&R in natural surroundings... off the beaten track. We intended to stay for only a few days and then move on to a beach location. HOWEVER... we were sooooooooooooooo seduced by the serenity and natural beauty at Casa Cubuy that we spent our ENTIRE 8 day honeymoon there!! It... more
