Staying at LaPaloma was like visiting family in the country. Nilda and Michael (owners) welcomed us in as if they had known us for years. They are located in the lower hills of the rain forest and the views are breathtaking! (See our pictures) I had my 10 year old daughter and 14 year old niece with me and at... more

We stayed at La Paloma for 2 nights - though we had reservations, when we arrived we were told that our room had been given to a last minute arrival, and that an "alternate room" (downstairs) had been made ready for us. Our room was extremely unclean (even the floor had not been swept and had numerous dead insects and... more

The best thing about the guesthouse is the owner- who is extremely friendly and welcoming. She not only cooked an amazing meal for us but when she realized we weren't prepared to spend the entire night listening to the coqui frogs, she came up with a series of activities for us ( an evening ride on a boat to a... more

My husband and I traveled all around Puerto Rico on our vacation and the evening we spent at La Paloma Guest House was one of the best evenings of our trip. The owner was hospitable beyond belief, and the accomadations were clean and beautiful. When we arrived late in the evening, we were warmly greeted and ushered to our room... more

First of all, to the people who wrote about La Paloma being less than upscale, I'm not really sure what they were expecting for accomodations in the middle of the rainforest for $65 a night. La Paloma is not fancy by any means, but it is a clean and really peaceful place to stay. I and 3 friends just returned... more

I want to first say that the price was very good and Nilda is a lovely person. When we arrived she made us shrimp soup because we hadn't had lunch and then showed us around the property. We enjoyed hearing the history of the Taino Indians and getting such an extraordinary view. It really was a delight to meet her.... more

The guest house is a great steal for its price. The owner Nilda is the nicest lady i have ever met: helpful phone consersation for all the questions i have, interesting introduction to the native indian culture, great food and coffee. The place is convenient to Fajardo and the rain forest. If i can revisit, i will stay in the... more

My daughters and I were looking for a simple, inexpensive way to get to Vieques for a few days. We noticed that La Paloma in Ceiba advertised pick up service from the airport for a nominal fee and, based upon the previous good reviews and very modest prices, booked a room. Our 11:30 p.m. arrival time was unexpectedly delayed until... more
