Recently was in Trinidad for carnival 2007. Whilst the carnival was great my stay at the Normandie was awful. The quality of service was well below average. First of the hotel staff had an attitude whilst carrying out there duties and rarely smiled. A couple of times I ordered room service I was told in a very curt manner that... more

We arrived in the evening for one night. The grounds were well kept and the pool is a nice touch if you will be there for awhile. The rooms not bad...but we had to upgrade because the bed was rediculous for two. Quiet location. O.K. breakfast included. Decent restaurant down the block. Stay at the Marriott...more money...but worth it! more

My wife & I spent 6 days at Normandie over Thanksgiving. On the good side; the loft room we finally ended up in was acceptable, a few of the staff were pleasant and helpful, the breakfast restaurant was good. On the negative side; - I had booked via email to the hotel and called to provide a credit card confirmation;... more

I stayed in a loft room at the Normandie and was pleasantly surprised. The location is great and the room was in pretty good condition. Although this hotel is in a prime location, it still provides you with enough privacy and peace. Being a Trinidadian myself, I don't have high expectations for customer service (sorry, but it's true), so it... more

This hotel is in a great location, near the action but still away from it so it is peaceful. The room we stayed in was nicely designed and most of all, clean. One thing that wasn't good was the breakfast: soggy and greasy...oh and cold. But what do you expect for a buffet breakfast that sits out there for 3... more

Just got back from a 3 day visit to Trinidad. Hotel Normandie is located in a quiet area. Workmen were on property but I heard no excessive noise. Room was small but clean. Staff that I came into contact with were friendly.Kim (receptionist) always had a smile for you. Would definitely stay there again. more

I am now back from 2 week vacation in Trinidad, & I must say I am glad to finally be home!! Stayed in Hotel Normandie & it was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever seen. A short stay motel would have been better! Only a few (can count them on one hand) staff members were polite, personable, & very... more
