We couldnt have asked for a better honeymoon. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom estate villa which was incredible. The villa was over 2,000 sq ft and had an enormous terrace with a hot tub. The hotel was beautiful and the beach was amazing. My husband and I walked down the beach to see the other resorts... more

My review of this hotel before the hurricane hit was right on par with what others experienced- gorgeous property, spacious suites with chef’s kitchen, excellent service and true luxury. My grievance with the hotel stems from the price gouging once Hanna hit and tourists were stranded on the island/stuck at the hotel. I will say that the staff went above... more

Our visit to The Somerset was mostly a great experience. We stayed in the 1500 sq ft cottage on the 2nd floor overlooking the croquet lawn. The room was incredible. With 2 bathrooms (one with a shower, the other with a Jacuzzi tub), a professional and decked out kitchen and a partial second floor loft space, the placed was decorated... more

Since Somerset has opened several years ago, we have visited minium of twice a year! We are just preparing to visit again this month and counting the days! Having travelled to almost every island in the Carib we have found our paradise not just PROVO but specifically Somerset! No need for great detail although I can write it's praises for... more

The pros: Let me start by saying that The Somerset is a beautiful resort. My husband and I stayed in the Standard Gardenview Room. The room was on the small side, but it was more than enough space for us as we spent most of the time on the beach anyway. The room was nicely decorated, and the cleaning staff... more

My husband and I have stayed at a hotel in Bonaire also among the Small Luxury Hotels of the world, but we both agreed that The Somerset was much better, hands down. We stayed there August 4-12, 2008, and we would return there in a heartbeat. From our 1-bedroom English Cottage townhouse (6B) overlooking the croquet lawn (not the ocean,... more

Wow! After a relaxing stay at the Somerset on Grace Bay, we were reluctant to go home. The facilities were remarkable: beautiful, well-maintained and inviting. We enjoyed the pool with it's lovely view of the spectacular beach. The warm breeze and friendly atmosphere were wonderful. The staff never failed to exceed our needs. We also spent a day out on... more

Many on the Forums know that we LOVE The Somerset. I felt it was worth an update as even though we have always been very happy here things were even better this time! Hard to believe even for us Somerset lovers! From the person waiting outside of the Airport to greet us, to the welcome at the front desk (Everyone... more

Returned to the Somerset for a most relaxing stay and was definately still blown away! The property is still IMO the most beautiful property on Grace Bay. The layout of the property and the architecture of the buildings with the ocean facing pools provide a very relaxing venue . Service from the entire staff was most impressive. At check in... more

Just got back so here is the current scoop: Property: is beautiful and well maintained. Pool: Awesome but getting umbrella is sometimes a challenge. Drop your stuff off before breakfast. Beach: Awesome. Not crowded at all. Umbrellas can be at a premium and staff is slow to move Staff: Move slow and money doesnt make them go faster. Bright spots... more
