I highly recommend The Galleon House. The location is excellent, right on Government Hill in downtown Charlotte Amalie. It's a quick and easy (though uphill) walk to Blackbeard's Castle and the historic homes tour, which culminates at The Rum House, right next door to the Galleon House. Likewise, it's a quick and easy walk to the downtown shops, bars, and... more

DIdn't care for this place in the least. I felt like I was at a motel six. Ragged lampshades that were torn; screens falling out of the windows.. a bed that felt like it was just some foam on a piece of wood... bathroom mirror was destroyed... loud rap music blaring at night....needs a definite room remodel as the floor... more

My husband and I stayed at Galleon our first night in St. Thomas before catching the ferries to Jost Van Dyke for the week. It was cute, clean, great views, and excellent breakfast in the AM just a few steps away from your room in the morning. We loved it for the night and would will stay again for sure... more

We stayed at the Galleon House for one night prior to our return back to the States. Had a great view of town from our balcony. Enjoyed lounging at the pool before having to go to the airport for our flights. Lots of steps to climb, but that's normal. more

The Galleon House Bed and Breakfast was our choice for lodging the night before we flew out of St. Thomas. It's location relative to the St. John ferry dock is what got my attention but be prepared for an uphill climb if you are carrying your luggage. We arrived early and luckily our room had not been used the night... more

We split our time on St. Thomas between the Galleon House and the Marriott. We absolutely loved this place!! First of all, after reading the complaints about the stairs, we were shocked to see that there were a mere 41 steps to climb. I'm out of shape and it wasn't a big deal for me. Not a good place to... more

We got a room with 1 queen bed and 1 twin, for 2 people, and it was around $190 per night. But it feels like a $50 motel. People blaring the TV next door and yelling all night, we saw them the next day and they appeared to be friends of the owner. Mosquito's. Breakfast was very mediocre. Nice views.... more

My wife and I hopped over on a spontaneous vacation for a few days April 6-9. We called directly the morning we arrived and checked in after being shown a cute room with an awesome view of the town. The island is super friendly and is doubly blessed to have such a radiant person like Larissa to point out the... more

I needed a place for one night in Charlotte Amelie before catching the ferry to another island, and the Galleon House made me wish I could have stayed longer!! A very friendly place with clean & comfortable rooms, good breakfast and the most helpful staff. Great value for the money. Especially since when I checked in they upgraded my room... more

My partner and I stayed there for 8 days. It was probably the best hotel experience we've ever had traveling. There are no bells and whistles here... just a basic B & B. The rooms are plainly decorated, small a/c, adequate bathroom, small refrigerator, and small TV. At $140 a night, with tax, it’s the best bang for your buck... more
