Every single night car alarms went off, and two of the nights cherry bombs were tossed from windows above us to the parking lot below setting off even more car alarms. my husband and i took a last minute trip to ensenada w/no reservations. we walked into the villa marina and got a good deal from their friendly staff. We found the hotel to be far enough away from the loudness of the main strip to sleep at night but close enough to walk just about anywhere. Definately not a luxury... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Marina. Great location right on the main tourist street. The staff was helpful and friendly. The bar on the 12th floor was completely empty, but has a nice veiw of the City. The rooms were a bit old, but clean. And we didnt have any problem with the noise from the busy street... more

The Villa Marina is a decent hotel right on the LOUDEST street in Ensenada. We got NO sleep until at least 4am each night, when the bars close down. Our NSGW group stayed for four days and we had a real good time. They have a real nice breakfast and the staff is friendly and co-operative. We basically needed a place to stay, sleep and shower. TV was good with lots of channels, some en english and the view was spectacular. Not a lot of frills, but quite nice.... more

OUR TRIP TO THE VILLA MARINA: The 'never-cleaned' curtains had holes in them ...didn't have to open......couldn't sleep all night from all the street traffic below ....no sprinklers in the room....black alge on the tile in the shower.....my shoes stuck to the carpet......room smelled of mildew.....mattress made noises of cardboard when I got into bed....not to mention I was scratching... more
