Sewage backed up in shower. Paid for a fireplace without any wood. Breakfast was OK. Friends room had tolight bulbs replaced and turn off the leaky hot water line after each sink use. Highst price we paid during our Baja car trip for the worst accomodations. more

This is our third time staying at the Desert Inn and was very surprised at how much it has gone down hill. The rooms are falling apart and need serious work done to them the only thing good is they do seem to keep the rooms clean but that is the only good part of staying at the Desert Inn.... more

We stayed at the Desert Inn in Loreto, and found it to be a pretty darn good place to stay - much better than some of the reviews! The location is great - at the north end of the Malecon, and a ten minute walk to the center of town for restaurants, etc. You can't beat the view of the... more

We were trying to find a hotel before making our way up from La Paz ( a 4 hour drive) After calling several places with no luck we pulled out our moon guide and called La Pinta ( now called the desert Inn) The rate was $90 a night and the website looked nice so I figured must be good.... more

I stayed at this hotel as part of a kayaking/camping package, for the first and last night. While it wasn't a "five star" experience, it was a lovely hotel. It was VERY clean (especially the bathroom), the room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, the staff was polite and helpful and the view from the room was incredible! If... more

My husband and I stayed at the Desert Inn and found it to be nice. It is not a 5 star hotel, more like a 4 star. It has a big pool and the beach view is wonderful. Our room was quite adequate, clean and we had a balcony that we sat on in the evenings. We weren't looking for... more

The only good thing about our one-night stay was that we had a nice view of the water. Had to look at it standing up, however, since there was not one piece of furniture on the balcony. We stayed in room 620, and upon walking in, we immediately regretted not flying out of Loreto that day. The paint/stucco was peeling... more

I stayed in the Desert Inn with my wife for two nights. the room was a little bit updated and it was quite dusty. The pool is nice, and so is the restaurant. The front desk staff was just OK, and the parking lot was somehow annoying, as it is not very well lighted and you do not feel comfortable... more

This was a last minute trip so this was all we could find and of course we wanted to be near the beach. I would agree with everything in the review dated Easter week. The rudeness was shocking! When we told people where we were staying they asked if we noticed the service was not very good - they said... more

After 10 years of using La Pinta (now the Desert Inn) for our sea kayaking groups in Loreto we have to say it's never been a great experience but now it's down right a terrible experience. In March of 2007 we had confirmed reservations from November of 2006 for 18 rooms at La Pinta yet when our groups arrived they... more
