Sounds a stupid title, right? But we'll get to that in a minute. People who enjoy embracing a different culture probably don't need to read this. You'll soon realise it isn't written with you in mind. Anyway, we read all the reviews but still stuck to our plans and went for an all inclusive chill via Otel.com. This is not... more

My Review on the Avalon Excaliber Hotel... I did read others reviews on the Avalon hotel prior to going there. I was skeptical on going and thought about changing locations, but what was done was done. When we arrived to the hotel the outside looks fairly nice in comparison to other hotels in the block. The drivethrough entrance is tight.... more

I stay in hotels about 90 nights per year. Mostly on business. I am used to hotel rooms, even if the are not perfect. But the Avalon Excalibur was the worst experience I ever made: The staff was extremely arrogant even after my 1 hour !!!! wait for check-in. The noise level was so high that I could not talk... more

Where should I start about what was wrong with the Avalon Excalibur? It began with the check-in. People lined up for a 1:20 hour wait in a non-airconditioned lobby. But I guess the worst was the overall noise level. There was not a single quite place in the entire hotel, including the rooms. Below our room's balcony was a loudspeaker... more

I just returned from a stay in Acapulco. I had one night at Las Brisas, excellent and one night at the Camino Real, very good. One week at a timeshare, excellent. Final night was at the Avalon Excalibur, due to a scheduled flight being canceled. It was given a three star rating so I presumed it would not be upscale... more

We were somewhat aprehensive about booking this hotel after reading the mostly negative reviews here, but our stay turned out to be pretty good. The room was very spacious and clean. The view from the 17th floor was fantastic. The kitchen was adequetly supplied. The room service was excellent every day. The one and only negative was the sleeper sofa... more

We stayed in Avalon Excaliber, Acapulco for 3 days. It wasn't a pleasant stay. From the time of checking-in till we left we had some problem or the other. The rooms didn't have remote for the TV. The customer service was very poor. After making 4 calls to reception we finally got a hair dryer. There was no iron box... more

Stayed for a week. Jan 20-27, 2006. Based on previous reviews, did not expect much. Nice facility with fabulous beach and pool area. Room was adequate with Ocean view. Staff was courteous and friendly. We spent every morning outdoors, either under a beach palapa or at the pool. Very nice adult pool. Check-in and check-out extremely busy, with long lines.... more

My mom & I reserved our rooms here one year in advance, and we got treated like drop-ins. When we got there we were in a group of 50 and they didn't have any of us on file. It took 3 hours for them to find the list with our names on it. The food was included which was nice,... more
