Folks, we seriously believe that no hotel in Mazatlan balances cost, amenities, location, and ambiance better. For restaurants: it is above the Shrimp Bucket, next to the Olas Altas Steakhouse (fantastico!), adjacent to the Copa de Leche, within walking distance of the city's Cathedral, and Central Market, as well as the Plazuela Machado, rimmed with other super restaurants, It faces... more

I really loved staying at La Siesta and hope to go back very soon. The rooms are very clean with an airconditioner. The linens and towels are changed every day. With a balcony to sit on outside our room, the ocean view was gorgeous. The beach was clean and a good place to swim with no rocks. The place feels... more

Viva la Mexico and my first trip to Mazatlan, April, 2008. Sometimes it seems, folks create their own problems. If you don’t want to climb stairs, don’t stay on the third floor… Unless, you want an amazing Pacific Ocean view and bird’s eye view of the festive Mexican-Parade-a-Day. Located above one of the most famous restaurants along the beach, if... more

This is a MUST for any Travleler. Simple, Clean rooms with no bugs. The Hotel is secure, as we found the main doors were always locked and had to get in through the reception area. Not to noisey for us but could be for some. Book a room with an Ocean view is a must. With in walking distance to... more

Hotel is a two star by most ratings. That pretty much says it all. The location in the old town is the place to stay if you really want the flavor of Mazatlan. The bad part is the street directly between the hotel and the beach. It is quite noisy until about 2 am, I did not get a good nights... more

Spent 3 days at the Hotel La Siesta in order to extend our scheduled 7-day stay at a timeshare property in the Golden Zone. Loved it! Booked directly with the property from their web site (http://www.lasiesta.com.mx/ingles/index.htm) about 6 months' prior and got a very fair rate (I think it was $58/night oceanside) for high season (late Feb). On check-in, which... more

This was my 4th time to Mazatlan and 16th to Mexico. I normally stayed at the El Cid until our timeshare at the Torres Mazatlan. The Torres was full so I look around on this site before deciding the the La Siesta. There was construction so you may want to email or call, but besides that here is my review.... more

This little time warp of a hotel is bliss. After you enter the small cramped stuffy lobby to check in, your bags are whisked out through a door to a huge refreshingly cool, quiet courtyard filled with 2 ancient rubber trees - "MAGIC". The rooms are clean with air con. Internet in the lobby. Add to this a new cute... more

I lived for two weeks at the Hotel La Siesta in Mazatlan in an ocean front room. Every morning I bought a cup of coffee and sat on my balcony and watched the comings and goings of pelicans, grebes, Magnificent Frigate birds and human beings with their dogs. I thought that the competence and friendliness of the staff were above... more

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! We had an ocean view room that was cleaner than some four star hotels I have stayed in. Martha the housekeeper did a great job and always supplied us with a pitcher of fresh water . Also nice about the hotel was free use of a safety deposit box and free use of the... more
