Just spent a week in Puerto Vallarta @ Hotel Mercurio and had one of the times of my life. The city is amazing and the hotel was very cute, warm and charming. I believe with the right amount of additional amenities (better sheets, soaps, etc) this place is a keeper. The staff always friendly and smiling made this trip so... more

My partner and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Mercurio and we would definately come back. I wrestled a bit with my rating (above) and feel I need to explain a bit more. The hotel has an abundance of friendly service. There is a rather large staff and they really go above and beyond to make the guests... more

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. The staff is friendly and courteous. The morning breakfast makes this hotel the best place in Puerto Vallarta. The swimming pool is small but always clean. We have stayed here three times and have not regretted it. more

Just completed 7 nights at our favorite place in PV. Everytime they just keep getting better (4th visit). Their other guest are often like us returning again & again & such a nice mix of young & mature, men & women. (our straight friend from the states was very comfortable staying here). The new Flat screen TVs are really nice... more

The hotel offers good value and a super location in old PV. Close to the beach and everything withing walking distance. The room was spacious, TV was small and I dont' think it worked properly, but didn't care as I wasn't there to watch TV. A/C is new and quiet, bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The hotel is... more

I chose this hotel based on the reviews on this site. The staff are very friendly. The location is great. The breakfasts are good. They have good wireless internet and nice TVs. The rooms however are very bad. I was given the choice of 3 different rooms and they were all bad. If this hotel were to renovate the rooms... more

This was the 3rd year that we have stayed at Hotel Mercurio and each year the ammenities and service keeps getting better. Yes its a small hotel that caters to the gay clientele but it is not a hole in the wall. Over the past two years they have upgraded the AC units, installed flat-screen TV in the rooms and... more

This hotel is fantanstic. The rates were reasonable. The service was very friendly. Just everyone who worked there spoke English. They were very helpful. The free daily breakfast was tasty. It was a real breakfast, not just continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and nice. I highly recommend this hotel to any gay traveler. more

My partner and I recently returned from a wonderful six day trip to PV. The best decision we made was to stay in the Olas Altas section as it is a safe easy walk to anywhere, in an area that best reflects the true charm of the area. Our review of the Hotel Mercurio, however, is somewhat mixed. First the... more

We stayed here last week for 7 nights. I wasn't going to write a review but when I read the last review, I was angered at how the reviewer misrepresented this place. So here's my take on it. First of all, if you're staying in the old town (which I much prefer) you won't find any 5 star american hotels;... more
