Just got back from 9 mostly enjoyable nights at the El Presidente - large, comfortable suite on 7th floor w/ great view of Banderas Bay, decent housekeeping, wonderful bed, quiet. Only had breakfasts at resturant which were very good - skipped the Italian resturant. Hotel very quiet while I was there, essentially adult only by default except last couple days.... more

We stayed at the InterContinental in Puerto Vallarta for 4 nights. The hotel is very nice - beautiful views and quiet beach. Not only did the hotel screw up our booking and left us with rooms on floors we had not booked and as an excuse claimed their "system was down", but when we paid on our credit card they charged us twice and still, three months later, have not refunded our money because they can't seem to figure out the problem.... more
