I was quoted $56 US. When I arrived this was converted to $672 Pesos. I then said that I wanted to pay in cash US but was denied. My actual cost turned out to be $63 US. more
" Beware of Bank’s business " should be a better title for this posting. Cards are convenient but costly for every one involved in plastic money transactions (except for the bank) If you insist in using plastic money you are contributing to the bank's personal business , not to ours. It can take several days before a bank transaction is...
I have traveled extensively and stayed in everything from Ritz-Carletons to Ethiopian campgrounds. All I ask is that I get what I pay for and be treated fairly which the owner of this hotel does not do. I had read about the problems at this hotel but used it because 1) We needed a room in town for only 12... more
We are a charming, safe, clean, 15 room INN. located around the corner from Radisson which is the best hotel in town. Therefore according to this guest, Radisson also has a horrible location. Any traveler knows what to expect from our kind of hotel, of course Ritz clients have no idea. PROFESSIONAL TRAVEL WRITERS, have used our facilities almost every...
Don't believe anything you read about Cancun Suites El Patio unless the reviewer says it's GREAT!!! I found this little gem when I was looking for a safe, beautiful, friendly, yet economic place for a family or single woman or couple to stay. I can't wait to return. in addition to a charming, immaculately clean room, I gained some of... more
As a travel journalist, I have spent the past ten days hopping from one luxury hotel to another. The moment I stepped foot in Suites El Patio, I knew I was "home". The staff was warm and inviting, offering to show me around the area during their time off from work. Whenever I asked for something in particular, the answer... more
I have been to the Cancun/Riviera Maya dozens of times, traveling there several times per year. This has been by far the worse hotel ever. Run for the hills (or down the coast, toward Tulum)! The hotel is located on a busy 4-lane street, far from any shopping or quaint sight-seeing places. Not at all close to the beach. There... more
Yes, Please avoid us if you are trying to pull tricks . This women arrived at midnight claiming to have authorization to use a CANCELED booking. Original guest had canceled his reservation months before. Staff requested her to show the written authorization, she didn’t have one. One night canceled bookings are not valid for future use. In spite of all...
We had a small, quaint room that met our needs for a safe and clean place to stay. The small, lovely courtyard, iron gates and tiled entry were beautiful. El Patio Suites was a great home base for us to explore some of Cancun away from the masses of tourists and the glitzy money of the hotel zone. We wanted... more
Upon booking a room for this hotel via internet I gave them via a security form all the details of my credit card. As they wish to safe on salary of staff they give some of the administration work to young and inexperienced backpackers. This stupid one wrote me a confirmation for my booking while exposing ALL my creditcard numbers.... more
Stayed here in August to see the ruins around Cancun and avoid the Vegas like beach crowd. The B&B is pleasant, comfortable, quiet, and convenient. You'll like the casa su casa feel. Located near the corner of Uxmal and Bonampak, its easy to catch taxis, and walking distance from the bus station and many restaurants. If you enjoy running, its... more
If you want to spend a lot of money on a room, go to the Hotel Zone. If you prefer to spend a lot less and still have a nice room, be close to the center of the city, and enjoy a more traditional Mexico, stay here. We thought it was lovely and friendly. An added bonus was it is... more
