Just returned from a 3 day stay at El Cozumeleno. We read about this resort before we went and I was curious as to whether or not any of the "complaints" would hold true. I can tell you right now that Americans in general are very SPOILED!! This resort was great. We never had to wait for a drink, there... more

The service at this hotel was the best I have ever seen in my entire life.. I sat under the grass hut on the beach and they guy kept bringing me drinks. The food was great in the restrauant and OK at the buffett. The beach is great and probably one of the best for a hotel in Cozumel. I... more

I won't tell you about the rooms, the beach, the water or the good food, but I will tell you about this... During our 2nd vacation, again for 10 days, to the El Coz, my son turned 18. The Coz did a blow out job!!! On Friday night, it was Caribbean Night for the hotel entertainment. The MC picked him... more

FIrst off it is true that 4 stars in Mexico is not the same as 4 stars in Beverly Hills but you get so much for your money here in Mexico. I'm not sure how people complain but if you want ritzy then go to Paris and stay at ‘Chez Fanci’. If you want to see some beautiful sites and... more

We were a little skeptical after reading everyone's review but said to ourself that everyone has their own experience and the only way to find out is to experience it ourselves. The hotel check-in staff was very nice and we were served with a welcome drink. The buffet was ok the first day and got better on the other days.... more

We visited this property for the 2nd time last week during a cruise stop. Our last visit was 6 years ago. Took a taxi from the ship to the hotel for $8.00 (not a bad price), check in went smoothly and headed to the pool! I have to say this hotel should be rated a 5 star in my opinion.... more

My bf (now fiance) and I spent July 28th until Aug 4th at El Cozumeleno and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were always spotless and the service was great. We requested a king sized bed with ocean view and that's exactly what we got when we arrived. FOOD: The food was the only... more

I stayed here with my husband and teenage son for 6 nights. I have to agree with one of the other posts that said the room had the feel of a Motel 6. We were in the south tower, which after reading the reviews I felt would be our best bet. The beds really are awful. We woke up sore... more

We were there as part of a large group to attend a wedding. The hotel and grounds are nice. However, the front desk leaves a lot to be desired of. Once you check in, they become oblivious to your needs and their attitude changes. Reservations were made, when we checked in, for dinner at the inside restaurant the first night... more
