employees were great: however the hotel and amentities were not. food was below average, and stopped serving at 6 P.M. we were faced with many obstacles through-out our week stay such as cold or no water for showering, no cable, and no electric one night! also the area was under construction(sidewalks and street) and was very inconvient( not the hotels... more

As the guest indicated, we had 6 weeks of street construction to put in the new wide sidwalks and the underground power lines. We had no control nor any notice when the city would turn off power, water, cable etc. to do the work. This accounts for most of the inconvenience. The street looks great now and we have a...

The Hotel Flamingo is an excellent place to stay in Cozumel. It's in a great location-- right around the corner from the central museum, shopping, and three of our favorite restaurants in town (Minati's, La Canela, & Guido's). The courtyard bar/restaurant within the hotel is also a relaxing place for a drink, a meal, or just to catch up with... more

We had a great couple of days at the Flamingo, a neat little boutique type hotel in the heart of San Miguel. Short walk to the ferry station and all points downtown as well as easy access to taxis for other areas ......clean, spacious room with excellent air conditioning was a welcome relief from the heat. The wireless internet was... more

Do not believe this website. It is a 15 minute DRIVE to the beach... not walking. There are no blowdryers or mosquito nets in the rooms. There was no safe to lock our belongings in. The complimentary breakfast is 1.5 pieces of bread with some cut up fruit. The best part of this hotel was the formations the maid folded... more

I think what we have here is a young person who wanted to stay at a luxury resort on the beach on a very tight budget. We promote ourselves as a unique boutique hotel located downtown, a half block from the waterfront. Our room rates are reasonable. We have very good staff and a full service hotel with a restaurant and...

My wife and I found the hotel staff very nice and helpful. Being a couple of minutes walk from town restaurants, bars, stores, and the main street where we could hail a taxi allowed us more time to enjoy the people and culture of San Miguel. Having traveled extensively throughout Africa and Asia, we understand the value of a good... more

My wife and I decided to fly back to Mexico for 9 days with our backpacks and travel around to various cities on the Yucatan. After doing some research and looking at this hotels web site we decided to reserve rooms there. Specifically a room with a queen bed and assumed that it looked like the pictures on the internet...in... more

There was a mistake and the guest was put in a room that had been closed off for repairs. The hotel was booked and unfortunately was not around on those days. We do have 5 rooms that have queen beds, but these were all occupied. These appear on our web site. In the unlikely event of an overbooking, we put...

I stayed at the Flamingo Hotel from Sept 1-8, 2006, during the low season. Flamingo is an older, economical hotel that has been remodeled by its American owner, Tom Fryer. In comparison to US hotel standards, it’s probably a 3 star hotel, but has an excellent restaurant called Aqua, with a very good chef (the Chilean chef mentioned in previous... more

We have just got back from this beautiful island 3 mins walk away from the ferry (3 blocks) Flamingo is a very affordable, centrally located, clean and comfortable hotel. 'OK' , it' got no pool, however, with a unshaded beach 10 mins walk away and for the more adventurous, a scooter will take you (out of town/coast road) to many... more

We purposely booked this hotel as it was cheap and very close to the main action in Downtown and we couldn't have got it more right. The location was perfect; it was close enough to the action without being too loud. It is situated just one block from the sea front (which is not great for swimming as the hurricane... more

I was not on the island when this guest stay, but I checked into things because I want people to have a good experience. We had a temporary person covering the reception for part of the week because our main receptionist who is fluent in English was on vacation. The new person knew only a little English and sometimes people...
