Not knowing much Spanish, but a lot of French drew me to this place, run by a lovely French expat, Eliane. I knew I made the right choice from the moment I walked in: lovely grounds, nice breakfast, and access to the real Cozumel (not the tourist laden loud markets and cruise port) just outside the doors. Eliane was truly... more

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 days in feb 2007 after traveling around Yucatan. I have to say that the Tamarindo was the most positive thing with Cozumel. Our room (almost felt like a tree-house) was very romantic and cute and we loved it with all its details! We also liked Elianes creative breakfasts in the mornings. This... more

Eliane is a lovely hostess, and Tamarindo is a bargain! Located in a real neighborhood...it feels much less like a tourist trap, and more like a genuine experience of island life. Walking past the open windows of residences on the block after sunset gives you a look at real people living real lives. Just a few blocks from the boat... more

I stayed here during in mid April of 2008. The B&B is in a neighborhood a few blocks from the ocean and from the airport. All money is USD. If you want the Ritz, this won't do, but if you want a true slice of island life. try this. Transportation: I took at taxi to the B&B from the airport... more

We have been going down to Cozumel for the last 22 years and this was one of our best times ever, mainly do to the great friendly service given to us by Elaine and Christian at the Tamarindo B&B. We stayed for two weeks and took the breakfast option and was very pleased with the variation of the meals, especially... more

We live just across the channel from Cozumel on the Mexican mainland but have heard such glowing reports about Cozumel's Carnaval that we simply had to check it out. As we were taking the vehicle ferry over (795 pesos each way) we decided to make a mini-vacation and stay a few nights. It is hard to find an establishment that... more

My partner and I just returned from a six-night stay at the Tamarindo. After reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, I was excited about my stay. I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. This small, charming property is like a home away from home. It's the perfect location - far enough away from the cruise ship throngs,... more

We stayed at Tamarindo and Las Lunas Inn when we visited Cozumel - Tamarindo is 1000 times better. It is a very clean, well-maintained place where you feel welcome. The owner will go out of her way to make you comfortable and ensure that you have a pleasant stay. The breakfast was healthy. The surroundings are very peaceful and the... more

This is the fourth time we have stayed with Eliane at the Tamarindo and we love it. They have new two room/kitchen suites that would be great for a family for two couples. In town, bakery down the street, great fried fish just outside but quiet and private. LIke your own home in Cozumel without all the hassle. more
