Just got back from a nine day stay in Cozumel to do some diving and visiting old friends. After staying at many places in Cozumel, from large resorts to many of the smaller places including other B&B's, I decided to stay at Tamarindo after viewing the website and contacting Eliane the owner. I'm only basing my review on my more... more

Just got back from Cozumel, where I stayed 2 weeks...October 10-23. I was there on my own with a simple purpose: dive and relax in paradise... My stay at Tamarindo was a wonderful experience... The place by itself is really cute. Beautiful garden...always so relaxing to chill out there in the afternoon after my 2 tank dives...or later in the... more

After 3 weeks with our backpacks around Yucatan, Chiapas and Guatemala, Tamarindo has been like a gift for our 2 last nights in Mexico. All our trip was wonderfull, but there's no denying that we will remember the Tamarindo. The room in which we stayed was very friendly. As if it had been prepared by friends or family. Very cute!... more

After our fourth visit in three years we are still charmed by Tamarindo. Stepping through the gate you feel a peace brought about by the attractive courtyard and Mexican style buildings. Eliane, your hostess has the gift of making you feel that you are the only guest. She cheerfully accommodates any needs you may have and readily shares from her... more

When my wife and I arrived at the Tamarindo for our long-awaited vacation, we were greeted not by the proprietors with whom we had corresponded, but by a wonderful Mayan Lady housekeeper. Since we couldn't speak a word of Spanish or Maya, she motioned for us to follow her. Upon seeing the room, I was totally amazed that the room... more

When my husband and I arrived at the Tamarindo for our long-awaited vacation, we were greeted not by the proprietors with whom we had corresponded, but by a friendly, non-English speaking housekeeper who motioned for us to follow her. Upon seeing the room, I was hopeful that the language barrier had caused some sort of mix-up. The room was so... more

Local Character - See the way of life - Chance to escape the tourist crowds - Be part of the environment not an intrusion. Tamarindo gives you exactly this option. Located in the heart of San Miguel a newly constructed two story complex that integrates with the local surroundings. From your room you look out onto a spacious courtyard with... more

We had an amazing 7 night stay at the Tamarindo from Feb 7-14 2007. Eliane was a wonderful hostess, we met some great people, in fact we liked all the other people who were staying there when we were there. We snorkeled everyday except the day we went to Playa Del Carmen when we just shopped and swam. Eliane helped... more

This place is a gem! The lovely hostess went above and beyond in making sure all our needs were met. The rooms are all unique and absolutely charming, amazing architecture and design touches, and bargain prices! Great breakfast too! The other place she runs in Cozumel is a gem too, more of a house type place with several units with... more
