My wife and I stayed there for four nighs over the Memorial Day weekend. We really appreciated the level of attention that Belen (the manager) and the entire staff gave us. Just enough that we always were taken care of, but not too much that we felt smothered as is sometimes the case in nice hotels. The pool is absoloutely... more

This property is very beautiful and very lush. I don't know anything about the horseback riding previous posters are comment about - this was never mentioned and we never saw horses. We loved the setting and the pool and the rooms are gorgeous. But the service is understaffed. The pool area never gets any service to even bring some water... more

We stayed in a Mayan villa for 1 night in march 2008. The hotel is quite hard to find because it's kind in the middle of nowere, but it's really worth it. This hacienda was really our favorite (we stayed in Hacienda Puerta Campeche and Hacienda Temozon). The hotel has less than 20 rooms and it's really calm and relaxing.... more

the Hacienda San Jose Cholul was definitely worth visiting. The hotel has only about 16 rooms, so it can never be crowded, but at the time we were there, we could only see one other couple at dinner and no other guests for the rest of the time. The best was the service, the staff went out of their way... more

nycadventure pretty much said exactly what I was going to say. My husband and I stayed at Hancienda San Jose for three nights in mid-March. We booked our stay using Starwood points as well. The property was unbelievably peaceful and beautiful. Since there are only 15 units we had plenty of privacy. The entire staff was very kind and attentive.... more

We spent two nights of our 6 days in Mexico at the Hacienda and it was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is amazing, from the minute you arrive to the moment you drive away, you feel as though you are someone special. The rooms are wonderful, we stayed in room 5 with the private plunge pool. The staff... more

My now fiancee and I visited Hacienda San Jose for 2 nights in early March. We started our jounery in Cancun then rented a car and drove to this Hacienda stopping at Chichen Itza on the way. We used Starpoints to pay for our stay. We book a Mayan Villa with our Starpoints but upon arriving we were upgraded to... more

My wife and I had a lovely time, despite some unseasonal afternoon rain the first 2 days of our stay. A little off the beaten path, the property has 15 rooms, 4 of which are the Mayan villas where we stayed. You should expect the intrusion of a little nature into your life, as the bush jungle surrounds you and... more

This was the first stay of 5 SPG-managed Haciendas. We arrived quite dusty after the easy drive from Cancun and visiting Chichen Itza. Upon arrival, every detail was well-rehearsed and perfectly executed. The tone of the stay was clearly set. While we had a tour of the property, our bags were transferred to our Mayan Villa. Welcome drinks and refreshing... more
