Well, it is not a hotel, therefore I was not expecting hotel like service. The reception did shut down at 08.00pm and no service apart from security was available from then. That didn't bother me in the slightest though. The rooms on the normal sized side and can accommodate two people easily. We had problems with our fans only. The... more

Have not stayed in the hotel but recent renovations obvious. Still pretty rustic. Among the most beautiful beaches you are likely to find anywhere. We stay at Dreams Tulum and spend our days here. Sand is nearly the color and consistency of flour or sugar. The water is exactly how it looks in the pictures, just beautiful with a gently... more

We stayed at Paraiso from Feb 27 thru March 3, after shopping around the entire area, and actually staying at another place for a night. I highly recommend it for all the following reasons: 1- set on the most beautiful beach in all of Tulum 2- set back far enough from the beach, restaurant and bar/club that we didn't hear... more

My boyfriend and I visited Cabanas Paraiso from May 12th till May 15th. When we got in Tulum on the 12th, we didn't bother making reservations in advance, I figured that it would't be busy since it was low season...Well, I was wrong! After spending about an hour going from cabana to cabana in a taxi, everywhere was full. We... more

Starting off on a positive note - the beach rocks! Although, thought it is ridiculous to pay for a chair on the beach if you are staying at their hotel... Room was filthy - dirty, holes in walls, bad smells, etc. Woke up one morning at 7am to construction on the room next door, water turned off all day. I... more

We stayed at Zamas down the road and went to El Paraiso every day to sit on their beach. The beach is outstanding at Paraiso and the beach bar is also really nice...good food and drinks and moderate prices. They do charge you $2.50 a person to use their beach chairs, though. Although we didn't stay there, I did look... more

Paraiso was dammaged by Wilma but is recovering very well. We were staying in Playa Del Carmen and went there for a day on the beach. It is a beautiful place. The beach is long and water shallow. We enjoyed drinks and a wonderful lunch. Can't speak of the state of the hotel rooms. But everything else was great. We... more

Who charges for beach chairs where you are staying??? I've gone to beaches where they charge outsiders, but not guests. The day after our arrival we had breakfast and then walked over to the beach. Some guy comes out of nowwhere and demands that we pay. After dinner I approached the owner for a refund, and he refused. The next... more
