Very difficult right from the beginning to book a reservation, glad it was only for 2 nights. I didn't realize these are tents, WITH NO BATHROOMS OR ELECTRICITY! The hike to the communal, made to look and smell environmentally sensitive toilets in the middle of the night was a drag. Waiting for showers with no soap also not my idea... more

The maids are the brains behind this hotel. The tent cabins are immaculate and stylishly turned out with towel art and high quality sheets, despite the challenges of the blowing sand and lack of electricity. My young daughter and I loved this place - the most spectacular beach and so much for the nature-lover to do. We only spent one... more

My wife and I spent two nights at Cesiak. We found the tent/cabins comfortable, and the rest rooms and showers were very clean. Yes the wind was blowing like crazy, but you can control the noise by opening or closing the various flaps on the tent. The beach is beautiful and is the way the entire coast was maybe 25... more

On the surface this seems like a really nice place. The staff are friendly, the location is very pretty and and facilities seem to be ok. I have two main problems with this place however. The first may seem picky but to me it is important. After dark on the first (and only night) we stayed there was an incident... more

CESiAK is definitely an interesting experience -- see some of the other reviews for information about the lodgings. It is a tent, they do have spectacular views, and the bathrooms are shared but clean. For what you get, the place should cost about half what it does. The front desk staff are not particularly friendly, and the restaurant is very... more

Yes the beach and views are incredible. I didn't find the front desk staff very helpful or friendly. The staff that clean are excellent and take care in your tent. Just know it is a tent you are in and with the wind and ocean it can be quite loud and even shake your bed at night. The tours are... more

My friend (I am a teen) and her family took me and another friend to Mexico for a weeklong trip in February 2008. After staying at Balamku Inn in Majahual (great, I wrote a review of that as well) we spent two nights here before proceeding back to Cancun Airport. Myself and the other friend who was invited on this... more

We stayed at CESiak for four nights at the end of an 11 night trip to the Tulum area. We'd found it by going on their all day tour in July 2005 and fantasized about going back for that beautiful vista of the sea on one side and the lagoon on the other. This time, staying at CESiak allowed us... more

Cesiak is one of favorite places in Mexico! The beachfront cabins are the best bargain in Tulum. We felt like we were living in luxury and camping at the same time. Our cabin was right next to the restaurant, and we would have preferred a bit more privacy, so we'd ask for a different cabin next time. The bathrooms are... more

We had 3 wonderful days at the CESIAK/Boca Paila Camps lodge with our 2 year old daugther. the location is simply amazing out on a narrow strip between the stunning Tulum-style beach (turquoise shades of blue, white sand, etc.) and a large lagoon. Not too far from Tulum. the rooms are actually tents on platform with palapa roof, and we... more
