We hesitently decided to go to Mexico for a last minute get-away and found what looked like a cute boutique hotel in a place called Tulum Mexico........We found this on VRBO (Vacation rentals by owner).......The booking process was very quick and efficient, management provided all the information/directions we would need to drive from Cancun to Tulum (about a 2 hour... more

Best kept secret in Mexico, what a place to relax, this is a vacation. Sun & fun, what great personnel. Free and his crew are awsome. Free is a dynamic host, want to relax or party he knows how to create a good time, you won't want to go home. more

Moon Palace this is not, which is exactly why we chose La Luna for a family beach getaway. We had a fabulous week in Capt. Dale's Quarters enjoying the adventure and peacefulness of La Luna. Other than the optional breakfast which was outstanding every day, you need to be completely self sufficient at La Luna. That worked great for our... more

I hardly know where to start with this review because neither words nor photos can adequately describe the La Luna experience we had last week. We stayed in the Captain Dales cabana which has a king bed on the first floor and two queens upstairs -- we were there alone for a few days, then another couple (friend of ours)... more

Such a relief after four days in Playa del Carmen. Clean, low key, right on a perfect beach. Captain Dale's was great for our one year old and the breeze kept us all cool at night. Never saw a mosquito, walked to Ana y Jose's 100m down the beach for meals & sat on the beach under the moon at... more

We had a wonderful visit to Tulum and Cabanas La Luna in May. We stayed in the Marrakech unit which was superb, it was on the 2nd floor and had 2 beds and two balconies, one smaller side balcony and a beautiful large balcony with a glorious view, a table and chairs, a little sofa and a hammock. Divine. The... more

My fiance and I just returned from Cabanas La Luna and had a wonderful time! We stayed in the house toward the back of the property,so we were not on the beach, but we had our own kitchen area and there was a beautiful garden area right outside our door. The beach is absolutely beautiful, very few people, wonderfully warm... more

Well, there really is no way to describe what an incredible experience we had at La Luna. We were there for 10 days and held our wedding on the grounds at La Luna. It is the most incredible place in Tulum...it is impossible not to relax and enjoy yourself while staying at this little eco-resort. First, the accomodations are lovely.... more

My wife ad I loved our accommodations. From our bed we had a great view of morning's first light as the sun rose over the sea. The play of light and color in sky and water provided a different but spectacular show each day. As Anne ran to observe from the hammock on the nearby pristine white sand beach I... more

I was at La Luna in order to attend a wedding. I stayed at another more "modernized" hotel down the beach, but wished I'd stayed at Los Lunas. I examined the rooms and facilities and can say that, while rustic, they were clean, comfortable and quite unique in their layout.. There was a constant stream of air from off shore... more
