We ended our trip in B.C. at the Coast Hotel before boarding the ferry early the next day. We did not want to stay at the hotel we had stayed in when we arrived in Prince Rupert. Hence, the comparision between the Coast and the other one are the basically the context of the review. Small lobby, clean and comfortable... more

An OK place. Slightly worse for the wear. Parking lot was full by th the time we got there--one of the last off the ferry. Not excited about the place, so walked around town looking for a better restaurant for breakfast. Nothing better, so returned to hotel for a quite decent breakfast. Nothing exceptional, but good value for the money. more

If you want to stay in a concrete box by all means stay here. Most unattractive building in an unattractive area of town. Most unwelcome reception in complete contrast with the other 8 hotels we stayed at during our trip in Canada.Had to change rooms due to traffic noise and view from window horrible. It was clean though.Checked out early... more

This hotel is fine for a stopover, clean and tidy, reasonable breakfast.....as the restaurant is separate you may have to pay additional amounts for the inclusive breakfast. We saw nothing in Prince Rupert that convinced us that this was anything more than a stopover. more

We stayed at the Coast for 2 nights between our trip on the Skeena and catching the BC Ferry on the Inside Passage to Port Hardy. No hotel is close to the train/boat so you need to cacth a taxi to town. The Coast is centrally located with harbour views. However we were pleasantly surpised by the quality of the... more

Arrived very late after a 15 hour voyage through the Inside Passage for a two-night stay. Reception was efficient and helpful. The quad room was spacious, clean and well laid out, comfortable beds and the usual en-suite. Great view over the harbour area into the ocean beyond. Very nice, very relaxing. Hotel has a small restaurant on the grond floor.... more

Clean rooms with great beds and white linens. Service was exceptional and Prince Rupert was a beautiful community. Try the restaurant "Rain" accross from the Coast as it has some of the finest food in the world. The Vanilla Scallops and Halibut bites are exceptional. more

The Coast Prince Rupert is one of a chain of hotels and this is reflected in it's approach. The exterior is nothing to shout about and the general location is very much for convenience to the main roads and shops than for oustanding views. Looking around the town and there were many hotels worse in appearance than this although some... more

We had an excellent one night stay at this hotel made so because of being upgraded to a jacuzzi suite, the superb meal in the restaurant and the view of the bay which got better and better as the low level cloud lifted. Service at the check-in desk and in the restaurant was efficient and polite. The room was very... more

We stayed at the Coast in Prince Rupert 1 night during our Via Rail (Skeena) stop over. The hotel was clean, modern and the staff was very helpful. The hotel itself felt very safe even for being in the downtown area. The train arrived in Prince Rupert at 7:00 PM. As we walked to the hotel from the train station... more
