Stayed here for 1 night between train and ferry trips. Close to downtown and shops. Renovated character property with friendly owner Christy. Rooms were alright but the beds small and so was the room. Cosy lounge area but small kitchen. There were 3 bathrooms but still a slight wait especially in the morning. I have stayed at the Pioneer for the past two summers as I was conducting work in the area. But, I have also traveled extensively around the world and stayed at MANY hostels.
