Okay, two issues right off the top. First, there is a new Vancouver *subway* and it is being built under the hotel. Lucky us. Second, this hotel is in two sections -- "The Tower" and the much older "Cambie Building." My room, #422, is in the older Cambie Building. So my comments may be at odds with some of the... more

I booked this hotel through Priceline at a higher rate than many better hotels in other cities in Canada. I am extremely appalled by the hygiene, service and location of the hotel. The coffee maker in the room is one of the dirtiest I have ever seen and there are also stain marks on the bedsheets. There were exposed aircon... more

We had a very spacious and clean room, which was excellent for the £35 priceline charge. This is not a downtown hotel, but the bus stops right outside, whisking you into the downtown area in no time. There's a shopping mall with banks, food courts and anything else you might want, right across the street. The staff were very friendly and... more

Got this on priceline.com for USD60 per night plus tax, for a six night stay. We were upgraded to the 15th floor, room 1501 on checkin. The room was very quiet, and was quite spacious, with an opening balcony. Yes, it's not the newest hotel in the world, but the staff are friendly, and everything is exceptionally clean. Our two... more

I debated whether to give this hotel a 2 or 3 star rating. We just recently came back from Vancouver. The hotel is somewhat dreary looking from the exterior, so upon arrival, we lowered our expectations and came in with an open mind. We were assigned a room on the 10th floor facing South... large room, 2 queen beds, dark... more

Attended a conference in Vancouver in mid-February, and the Plaza 500 was the venue. I'd previously only stayed at hotels right downtown, and this hotel, on Cambie, was new to me. It's reasonably easy to get to by taxi or bus (from the airport, a taxi is easiest as the Vancouver Airporter bus doesn't stop at the hotel). The hotel... more

Pretty decent and I got a good rate! I was in Vancouver for 3 days on a course and after reading some of the reviews of this hotel I was a bit worried. The hotel is close to Broadway and not too far from Granville but it is NOT downtown. This was OK for my puropose as it was close... more

Booked for a romatic weekend with another couple. Was hesitant due to reviews that we read AFTER being assigned with Priceline. We only paid $60 per nite, so was stunned to see others paying waaaaay more. Immediately being assigned to this hotel, checked ratings and reviews. Was warned about construction, but was eager to see due to location to downtown.... more

I booked this hotel through Priceline for a $85 bid. After finding out I was booked here and reading some of the reviews listed below... I was a bit hesitant to check in. Ultimately I was more than pleased. It was clean and respectable. The Staff was fantastic and accommodating. In fact I found myself wondering what so many of... more

We booked through Priceline and therefore didn't have a choice! When I read some of the previous reviews, I was dreading the whole experience as we were wrapping up a two week cruise and visit to Alaska. I must say it was not the horrific encounter I expected. We decided at the last minute not to pick up a rental... more
