The hotel is not expensive and only 10min from skyline. The staff is friendly and the room was old but clean. The major problems are as follows: It is not in a nice neighborhood and far from downtown. The local restaurants are nothing special and the Indian place next door simply horrible. The walls are so thin that you can... more

We stayed at the hotel as part of a group in Vancouver for a hockey tournament. The pool was empty, the elevator was broken and the staff were very snotty. The kids had nothing to do so they ended up in the parking lot with the used needles from the patrons of the "retro" bar. The rooms are small and... more

Nothing too special, but I was worried after reading some of the negative feedback here. This place was a great bang for your buck. Close to the Skylink, 10-15 minutes to downtown, etc. I am a frequenter to Vancouver and I will definitely stay here again. The pool was COLD, though...LOL. more

Aside from the fact that the hotel was relatively inexpensive and convenient to where I had to be on town, my stay was terrible. I stayed in room 213. The room was small, cold, too much noise heard from outside and other rooms, leaky faucet in the bathroom, electrical outlets that did not work, and extremely unclean! It made me... more

This hotel is divided into two wings -- each with its own access elevator from the lobby. There is an executive-suite wing for business travelers, and another wing for regular vacationers. I stayed in the regular wing on the third floor with non-smoking rooms. But my third-floor companions included traveling business people, tourists in town for the holidays, and out-of-town... more

Aging building is an OK place to sleep but if you are going on a cruise, this facility is nowhere near cruise ship docks. The exterior paint is long overdue for a fresh coat, the elevator is very slow. It is located in a run-down low-rent part of town. There are NO convenient restaurants unless you walk several blocks. Taxi... more

The front of the hotel and lobby didn't look as nice as expected, but the room itself was great. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a long time. The hotel is NOT at Metrotown, wait for any bus coming by to get to a Skytrain station in a few minutes, or about a 15 block walk.... more

I cannot complain about this hotel. There was excellent parking in a well lit area so I wasn't nervous at night. There's a Safeway across the street so you can buy some groceries to make breakfast & pack lunches. The mini fridge was clean & worked fine. The hotel's right on Kingsway so access to main routes is great. Metrotown... more

This hotel is awful. We stayed there in August of 2005. In their defence, they may have cleaned it up since. This is no lie, there was dried vomit on the floor of one of the rooms. The stench of cigarette smoke and yellow walls was not dealt with until I asked the ladies to clean the room and change... more

This booking was a mistake! Way too far out of town for us but ideal if you want to go to the huge shopping mall. Thankfully we only had one night booked here. The fridge in our room still contained a half-eaten Chinese takeaway from a previous guest! The area was not a tourist area. The staff were not particularly... more
