We had a corporate rate at this hotel that couldn't be beat, but as first time visitors to Vancouver and only 24 hours to see the city, I would recommend staying in one of the trendier, more scenic locations in the city. The staff was EXCELLENT. I don't think I have ever met a friendlier staff at a hotel. This... more

We got a deal on the room, $128/night. The breakfast was good, much better than cereal and rolls. The staff was friendly and helpful. We called housekeeping for more towels and they were up at the room within 5 minutes. I then could not find the sheets to make up the fold out, they were up again in 5 minutes... more

We stayed here from 020807-050807 at the start of our Rocky Mountaineer holiday. We thought the hotel was excellent value. The room was nice and big with all ammenities you could want, in fact a full kitchenette - cooker, dishwasher, microwave etc although we ate out. Lounge area with double sofa, desk and the telly and two large queen size... more

My complaint with this hotel is the price. Granted it is in downtown vancouver but for over $300 per night after GST it is not worth it. Next time in Vancouver I will pay another $50 to $100 dollars for a full service 4 to 5 star place. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Even though it is downtown it... more

I'm from Colorado and was on this trip with my 2 daughters, ages 17 and 21. We'd never been to Vancouver and thought it would be fun to visit there. We were on vacation that also included stops in Seattle to visit family and then San Francisco. Vancouver was the first stop. First the bad... I booked this hotel through... more

Spent 1 night at this Marriott and the room was good-sized (2-queens), very clean, updated with good amenities (includes utility kitchen). Breakfast included was great with lots of options hot and cold. The location was not in the prime tourist areas, but within walking distance of Granville Island, Yaletown and English Bay. more

Considering the fact that I paid around $150 to stay here with my family, I expected a much larger room. We've stayed at a lot of Residence Inns and this one had pretty small rooms. On the other hand, the view from the balcony was fantastic and the indoor pool was a plus, as well. Staying anywhere in downtown Vancouver... more

I stay at Marriott properties about 150 nights a year for work, and visit many Residence Inns due to the home-like amenities and set-up of the rooms. I have stayed at this hotel on a couple occasions and found it to be adequate. The rooms recently got new carpeting and bedding, although for some reason even the new Marriott upgraded... more

That sounds like a strange message, but here was my experience: The hotel is very nice, and for what I was up there for, the location was great. The problem is, I had an even-numbered room, and there's a club across the street from that side of the hotel. For two consecutive nights (weekdays, by the way) I heard thumping... more

We stayed here for a week over our 6-year old daughter's spring break from school. While all the construction outside was a bother, the entire city is experiencing that in preparation for the 2010 olympics. They didn't start until 8:00, so as long as we didn't mind not sleeping in we were fine with the window closed. We checked in... more
