The hotel is just south of the city "core" and just east of Granville Island. While it is a bit out of the "action zone", if you plan to take public transportation (as we did) it's really a great location: a great view of downtown (from the "correct" side of the hotel) and within steps of several of the main... more

Hotel at the centre of Vancouver a block or two from City Hall, but not in the hotel/financial Zone. Having stayed in the downtown a number of times in the past this hotel gave a fresh and new view of the city. Had a great view of the downtown, and the mountains in the background. There was an exciting choice... more

This hotel is nicer than I expected for a Holiday Inn. We had an excellent room with a great view of the city. Some of the best photos of Vancouver that we have were ones my husband took from the balcony of our room. The hotel is in a good location for walking to various restaurants, but you'd want to... more

The Hotel is located south of downtown, across one of the bridges. The area around the hotel is actually pretty nice, some good restaurants and shopping nearby, feels like a pretty safe neighborhood all things considered. The hotel feels a bit on the old side, but it's not falling apart or anything. We had a room on the top (16th)... more

Stayed here last week - booked 2 nights but stayed only 1 because of an emergency. Staff allowed me to checkout without the extra day cost and were very understanding. Hotel is very convenient on Broadway. Front Desk staff are excellent - check in was a breeze. Room was on the 15th floor - and was a basic but clean... more

Had one night in Vancouver at the last minute. About the last hotel downtown-ish, so we took it. A bit below average for a Holiday Inn. Elevators very slow -- they need another one. Room was near the elevator, but was supposed to be a "view room". Well, the office tower next door was pretty, but I would not call... more

Our hotel stay was up to the usual Holiday Inn standard until we heard the sound of a large dog barking. After asking reception whether there was a sight impared quest on our floor with a guide dog we found out that the hotel is "pet friendly". This is OK in principle but they don't have special rooms for pet... more

Stayed here 4 days. Rooms are clean and safe. A few reastaurants within walking distance. Parking is $7.00 per day. At times noisy; Hospital just up street. Pool was cold and many visitors the days we were there had problems with their swipe cards. Including us. Anoying when elevators, pool, hotel rooms etc needed these cards to work. Management issued... more

I stayed in this hotel a few days ago. Positives: my room was quite large, bed was comfortable, very clean (though the building looks a bit old and dirty from outside), location is good (about ten minutes to downtown by car, very central location). The price for a single room is about 100$, which is reasonable for a hotel in... more

This Holiday Inn, at "Vancouver Centre" is a somewhat misleading. We came into the city from a cruise and were slightly disappointed when we had to cross over a bridge and leave the true center of the city. However, once there, we had a pleasant stay with a nice view of the city and backdrop of the mountains. It doesn't... more
