My wife and I stayed here because it was recommended by Fodor's 2008 guide to the Northwest. I didn't look closely at the article in Fodors, but, having some difficulty finding a reasonably priced B & B in Victoria, jumped at the reservation when the owner, Jim Pace, said he had a room available. We paid $529, including tax, for... more

The inn is quite charming and should be treasured. But the owner was not friendly at all; he was quite irreverent, unfriendly and not interested in assisting the guests. The breakfast wait staff was friendly but don’t expect a B&B level of food - expect plain eggs, seasonal fruit, and toast and no coffee for early risers. more

This hotel refused to honor the price quoted in my reservation. I was charged $115 CAD per night plus tax instead of the $100 per night plus tax that was quoted in the booking. The owner, Jim Pace, stated that he doesn't do business with travel agents. I was forced to pay the higher rate and did not call Travelocity... more

Despite having a confirmed booking made through the local tourist board the owner denied all knowledge of our reservation when we arrived. Not suprising as the roof was being repaired and the whole place was cordoned off with tape. We were eventually shown a room where workmen were hammering away immediately overhead. Needless to say we left. The owner's attitude... more

I really enjoyed my stay here. I loved the over all atmosphere, the views are lovely. It was so nice to have a wonderfully clean room and bathroom facilities-I had encountered some nasty bits on this trip and Craigmyle was such a great respite from all that! I would surely stay here again. more

Lovely place, typically English and within walking distance of downtown. However we were disappointed as the owner was the only one in Canada to insist that we paid the full amount for the room as soon as we arrived! He was not really friendly even though we were fellow countrymen. We were leaving early the following day and asked if... more

We traveled to Victoria with no hotel arrangements and saw the B&B listed and thought we would give it a go since it was close to the castle we had heard about. We really liked it, small room but cozy and we had a wonderful view of the castle from our top floor room. Would have preferred to have our... more

My husband and I stayed at Craigmyle for a couple of days at the beginning of December. We stayed here because it is located right behind Craigdarroch Castle. The interior was decorated much the same as the castle. It felt so cozy staying there that I would definitely go back. We stayed during non-peak time, so we were able to... more

I truly love the Craigmyle. I stayed there over eighteen years ago on a few seperate occasions with my Father and we recently returned for a week long stay. Sheer bliss. A lovely change from the modern hotels & trendy places I usually stay at while on business travel. Jim was very personable, friendly & kind in nature, the rooms... more

Craigmyle is wonderful. I've stayed for four weeks scattered over the past few years and I am always greeted with great hospitality by the charming and friendly Pace family. Under the shadow of the Craigdarough Castle, the beautiful old building is a sight from an era past. In the lobby and living/dining room, the wood paneled Craftsman interior is cozy... more
