We had a great experience the 4 nights that we stayed at Andersen House. We stayed in the Garden Room which was very quiet, private and had great natural light and views to the back yard. This room was extremely clean and the king bed very comfortable. Max and Janet, the owners of the B&B were friendly and more than... more

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at Andersen House Bed and Breakfast. Max and Janet are very caring, friendly hosts who make you feel so welcome in their beautifully restored historic home. The delicious breakfasts were served in their light filled dining room where you are surrounded by a fabulous collection of artwork, and pretty light... more

The Andersen House was recommended to us by Off the Beaten Path, a tour company that specializes in outdoor adventures. We were planning a 20th anniversary trip to Vancouver Island, mostly in Pacific Rim National Park, but wanted to spend a few days in Victoria. OTBP initially booked us into a downtown hotel but when we said we preferred more... more

what a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are fabulous- large, elegant, and meticulously kept- we stayed in the downstairs room that looks onto their garden- the hosts, Max and Janet Andersen, are friendly without being obtrusive. The breakast they serve is not only excellent, thanks to Janet, it's an artristic creation. (She also has very nice jewlery for sale)... more

My husband and I stayed at Andersen House for 6 days for our honeymoon last year, and we cannot stop dreaming about it! Whenever we talk about our honeymoon, Andersen House is the first thing we mention. The location is perfect; it's a 10-minute walk to the heart of Victoria, and it's on a very quiet residential street. The house... more

We just got back from our stay in this beautiful B&B. We were more than pleased with everything. The room we stayed in (the Casablance) was first rate. The breakfast's were delicious and there was wonderful conversation each morning with fellow guests. Above all, the attentiveness of the hosts, Cheryl and most especially Richard were top notch. Richard saw to... more

We just returned from a two-day stay in the Southside Room at Andersen House. This room is certainly their smallest, with no jacuzzi tub, but that is reflected in the very reasonable price. It is a lovely room, with a private entrance, bathroom, and an added bonus of two sinks. Breakfasts were delicious--salmon potato feta cakes on our first morning,... more

My husband and I stayed here 8/21-8/23 (Casablanca Room). Extremely nice place. The room has a jacuzzi in an alcove, which looked a little weird to me over the internet when I was looking for places to stay, but worked just fine with the room. There was a little balcony, with two chairs overlooking the lovely back garden (pear, apple,... more

We stayed in the Casablanca room for part of our honeymoon. The B&B is in a great location and is very nicely appointed. The innkeeper, Lorinda, is extremely helpful and makes some killer breakfasts. Breakfast is served only at 9 a.m. with one table for the eight guests (four rooms). We really enjoyed sharing our experiences with the other guests,... more

This place is beautiful and the innkeepers are fantastic. They also have a fantastic dog that keeps guests extremely comfortable and is hypo-allergetic too boot! The art work, decor and rooms are fabulous. The breakfast was wonderful and it was a great place to stay. Would highly recommend this place and Victoria is gorgeous! Enjoy your stay! more
