This hotel should not be included in the Residence Inn Marriott family. It does not compare to other Residence Inn properties. The rooms are very dated, bathroom is right out of the early 1980s with recent repairs done incorrectly (the tub moved/shifted very time one showered). Residence Inn Ottawa Downtown is conveniently located within walking distance from the Parliament Building. The reception area is situated on the fourth floor of the hotel which is a bit confusing for new travelers to the hotel. There is a small driveway to park two cars while registering in. The suites in this hotel are very large and spacious. The kitchenette is fully furnished and the breakfast is varied. Probably the best suite type hotel in town due to location and size of rooms. We have mixed feelings about this hotel. When we arrived the staff was wonderful and very helpful. The room, a 1 bedroom suite, was very large and had a nice kitchenette.
